WHY WE WENT PRIVATE......

YOU MUST READ IF YOU HAVE A BLOG WITH CHILDREN
For about a week I had one of those map trackers on the bottom of my blog just because I was curious how many people were checking up on our blog and where they were checking from. Well just in the first day I noticed there were WAY more than I ever imagined. And I'm thinking "Wow Ames, you just must be so cool and people totally love checking up on how funny you are and how adorable your family is." Right...Well, then I noticed the marks showing up all over, I mean ALL OVER THE WORLD. I'm thinking, "Hmmmm, who do I know in Africa, South America, or Australia?? And who are these people all over Europe checking my blog DAILY?" So I was chatting with my Mother in Law and she informs me that this is not a good thing. Why not you ask??? Because child pornography is a huge problem in Europe (and everywhere) and sick nasty perverts are all over the world just checking up on people who put pictures - sweet innocent pictures - of their children online. And think of them in horrible ways and so on and so on...I WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIED!!! What kind of person does that?!?! Stalks kids online to check on their updated pictures to... UGHLKG! I just HATE even thinking about it. And I feel so foolish and naive for just assuming the world is a rosy place and only good people are checking up on us. NOT THE CASE.

This is not my story but touched my heart. I don't want to take the chance of someone seeing Ella in that kind of way. There also was a big story on 20/20 and Oprah about the same type of things. This is why I went private, thanks of understanding!!
