Gender of the baby?!
Everyone has asked when our baby due...around the 17th of January. It seems like a long time away but I am sure that it will fly. We have also been asked if we are going to find out the sex of the baby. This has been a debate and I think I am winning...so; no, we won't find out. Nate would like to know so it'll be easier to buy stuff, but I think it'll be fun not knowing. Let's take a poll. Use the poll to vote and let us know what you think!

You know if you don't find out the sex of the baby I am not going to have enough time to make you announcement cards, and thank you cards! I guess I could just pick a neutral color but pinks and blues would be so much cooler!
Plus I have an idea for a gift, of course I am going to make it because I can always make things cheaper LOL, but I would need to know the gender for that as well.
Plus this is your first kid you've just got to be prepared and I think one night you will wake in the middle of the night really wanting to know what the sex of your new family is going to be.
Oh and this is the twenty first century we have the technology so why not use it????
Ok Heather, You got one side of the argument, so I'll give you mine...just to even things out.
We didn't find out what Toby was going to be and we were plenty prepared. We did get some yellows and greens in new born stuff just to get us by...which is awesome because now no matter what we have next, we are prepared. Plus, you get tired of putting your kid in all blues or all pinks anyway! And if you really are against yellows and greens, then get some blues, and some pinks, and whatever you don't use, you'll have ready to give as gifts for friends.
Also, it was the biggest motivator when I was in labor. Just when I was so exhausted, I thought to myself, "I'm about to find out if it's a boy a girl!" It really helped get those last few pushes! Plus, if you know what you are having, you are tempted to buy everything gender specific...and then when you have another one, you'll have to rebuy everything if it is the opposite gender. Also- hardly anybody waits to find out anymore...you'll be admired for all those who can't do it! (Sure they may think your crazy too) Todd says your "weak sauce" if you can't hold out!
